Frequently Asked Questions

Who contributes to the CSEC Foundation?
20% of our fundraising goal comes from individuals--working people, students, alumni, parents--who want to help build knowledge, pride and security in the Carver-Scott community. The balance of our funding would come from business and civic organizations who share that mission, and from the broader foundation community.

Where do my donations to the CSEC Foundation go?
The work of CSEC-District 930 is focused in Carver and Scott counties, with collaborative relationships throughout four counties in the Western Twin Cities area. The CSEC-District 930 approach of collaborative effort and service to community extends the beneficial reach of every dollar.

I'm interested in helping in a specific area--can I target my contributions to the CSEC Foundation?
We welcome donations earmarked for specific programs or services. This tells us where our efforts are most appreciated, and what aspects of our work are important to the most contributors.

Are my CSEC Foundation contributions tax deductible?
Contributions to a 501(3)(c) not for profit organization are generally eligible for deduction under the U.S. Tax Code. Every taxpayer's situation is unique, and we couldn't say what is correct for any individual. Whoever prepares your tax return will have the answer for you.
